History

1925 – Foundation of GEKA BRUSH by Georg Karl sen.and concentration on manufacture of brushes
1970 – Foundation of UK subsidiary
1971 – Acquisition of Victoria Cosmetics
1980 – GEKA specialises in the development and production of premium brushes and applicators for the cosmetics industry
1983 – Introduction of GELA’s Building Block System
2005 / 2006 – Manufacturing of moulded brushes
2007 – Halder buy GEKA within a Management Buy-Out
2008 / 2009 – Creation of a new production facility in Elgin, Chicago and a sales office in Paris
2009 / 2010 – Rebranding from GEKA BRUSH GMBH to GEKA GmbH. Restructuring of GEKA’s portfolio and launch of new website
2011 – GEKA introduces a filling into its product portfolio
2012 – 3i and funds take majority stake in cosmetic packaging leader GEKA
