The fourth edition of B&R India's "Innovation Day" once again provided a platform for thought leaders, industry experts and decision makers to share ideas on the Industrial IoT, smart manufacturing, design efficiencies, Industry 4.0 and digitalization. This year's event welcomed more than 200 attendees with a mix of technical presentations, live demos and a panel discussion – whose members agreed unanimously that digitalization is not an option, but an imperative step forward for every organization.

Constantia Flexibles to expand Polish toppers plant

Constantia Flexibles Group is making a single-digit million euro investment in its toppers plant - Constantia ColorCap - in Rybnik, southern Poland, to cater for growing demand in the dairy industry. The investment in plant infrastructure and new machinery for long runs will almost double the annual capacity. The expansion is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.

RPC Promens Montpont has enhanced its containers for the Agrochemicals market to offer one of the most comprehensive ranges that is able to satisfy the varying needs of this diverse sector.

An outstanding recent example is a mini can format developed by Ardagh Group for Bonduelle’s new ‘Touch of’ concept. The French food manufacturer had spotted a gap in the market for smaller servings of vegetables to accompany meals. Research showed that not only would this meet a desire for increased variety, colour and taste on the plate, but also reduce the likelihood of food waste.
