In 2023, Heineken celebrates its 150th anniversary. As part of this anniversary, the Dutch brand has chosen to promote more environmentally friendly consumption patterns. In September, Heineken opted for a strong bias: the brewer completely removed its name from its cans in favor of the words “  Recyclable  ”, which it considered to be “  the essential advantage of this container  ”. This in its 33 cl and 50 cl formats and in all GMS circuits. This shows that the number 1 signature in the department has confidence in its notoriety!

The chief guest, adviser Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, Mhathung Yanthan stressed on the paramount importance of packaging for Nagaland’s Food and Handicraft sectors.

The initiative was aimed at educating participants about the latest trends and technological advancements in food packaging, emphasizing the significance of innovative packaging for enhancing export potential.

Nescafé has introduced the first instant coffee refill pouch for Nescafé Gold Blend and Nescafé Original that can be recycled in stores and helps save money while reducing packaging. 

The new 150g refill pouch is 97 percent lighter than the 200g glass coffee jar and has on average 60 percent less plastic than the jar’s lid. 

The pack is resealable to help preserve freshness and once the refill is empty consumers can recycle the pack in more than 5000 stores across the UK and through kerbside collection in Ireland.
