Its interesting that sometimes we get fooled simply by packaging and demonstration but later we find that the truth is different. This is what happened with me. I bought a natural Aftershave with sandalwood from Forest Essentials Delhi airport show room. I tested the demo sample and liked it. To my surprise, once I came home, it was different and I could n't really smell sandalwood fragrance and after application, I was feeling terrible whole day. It has been more like stinking. I then honestly complained to customer service, they asked me to visit their store in Gurgaon for investigation. I did that too though I expected they will take proactive actions to investigate and might come to me. Anyway, I visited the store and they sent me back saying that they have no information or internal approval. I again wrote to customer care but no response, I called up customer care and they say "they will come back" but no commitment when? This is it.
So how come companies can be so sensitive and simply fool consumers through packaging? Being a packaging professional, I feel we need to make sure that packaging is not used to mislead people and we should be doing something, what do you say?
