For the first time Recycling Dual guarantees to close the full loop for paper-based packaging for its customers. The service provides them with a holistic solution to ensure packaging from their products is recycled through a nationwide collection system.

From 2021, Recycling Dual will be the only company in the market with the ability to track the life cycle of paper, cardboard and carton packaging from production through to being recycled.

“We see significant transformation in the digital print market, and seek rapid growth in digital printing,” says Tobias Kaase, Managing Director of Mediaprint solutions. “We’re confident that with Screen as our partner, we’ll achieve our growth targets.”

Kaase adds: “In our mediaprint smart factory, we aim to be able to produce around one million print jobs per year in two years from now.”

The printer produces for publishing houses in German-speaking countries, and for large and medium-sized international industrial companies.

Quality position

The new same day and self-seal Salad Packs now feature an over-the-edge window, creating excellent visibility from the front and top and when stacked in a chiller display. A ‘push-tuck’ closing mechanism promotes secure sealing, which aids ease of closing and opening as consumers can either unlock or tear off the top.

In 2019, Ferrero announced plans to make all its packaging 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.

To support this objective, the company has joined forces with Loop and Carrefour for a reuse pilot scheme for its Nutella brand in Paris, France.

Ferrero has developed a new pilot Nutella jar in collaboration with reuse platform Loop, which is specially designed with features such as an optimised label and seal that can be easily removed during the wash cycle.
