Glass packaging company Croxsons and its customer Eden Mill Distillery have developed primary packaging for the launch of London Dry Gin, a premium version of Ramsay’s Gin.

Croxsons has leveraged bespoke, clear 70cl bottles, which contain 18% less glass than the industry standard.

The entirety of the bottle is embossed with the letter ‘R’ to signify Ramsay’s signature and features intricate lines to create the appearance of waves coming onto the shore.

Under the new rules, no PVC plastic will be allowed in online retailers' packaging, while wrappers containing more than 90 percent recycled paper in natural colors or plastic packaging with more than 25 percent reusable plastic should be prioritized.

In addition, rules on how much packaging can be used will differ depending on how big an online retailer is.

The event was organized under the guidance of Vikramjeet Singh, Commissioner Secretary, and Industries & Commerce.

Dr Javid Ahmed Wani, Director National Institute of Fashion Technology, Srinagar, apprised the artisans and weavers from Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts of the packaging project through a detailed comprehensive presentation.

Another important aspect of the event was unveiling of the craft document exhibiting the crafts of Jammu division by the dignitaries.

Rishi Sunak is preparing to delay a new tax on packaging after opposition from MPs and retailers over the costs it would add to household shopping bills.

The Telegraph understands that ministers are holding talks about pushing back the planned rollout of the scheme to charge retailers and manufacturers for the cost of councils recycling their packaging.

Based on and subject to the comprehensive terms set out in the MOU, Indorama Ventures plans to mobilize about €110 million for the joint venture in equity and non-convertible loan financing, pending final engineering documentation and final economic feasibility studies. Both parties have acknowledged their mutual support for the implementation of the project and their intent to finalize contract documentation before end 2023.
