This year, as many years before, the amount was donated to the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V., the Hospiz Ulm e.V. and Aktion Deutschland hilft. "It is very important to us, especially in the Christmas season, to support charitable associations in helping other people," says Klaus Mang, Managing Director of the ASYS Group.
The handing over of donation cheques is a tradition. The joint lunch was attended by Werner Kreibl, Managing Director of the ASYS Group, Günter Schröder, Managing Director of ASYS Metall, Karin Walter, Head of Marketing at ASYS, as well as Sigrid Markmiller and Claudia Schuhmann from the Ulm Hospice and Elvira Wäckerle from the Förderkreis. The annual meeting offers the opportunity to exchange information about current topics and projects.
Hospiz Ulm e.V.
The Hospice Ulm serves as a contact point for people who deal with the topics of death, mourning and farewell. Here dying people and their relatives find a quiet place and loving support. The 130 volunteers and 25 full-time staff members provide individual support for dying and mourning and enable dying people to live a dignified life until the end. Integrated in the house there is an academy, which informs affected families comprehensively about the topic of death and dying. Not only patients, but also bereaved mourners find a contact point here.
