hyderabad a major food processing park is likely to come up in telangana state.  it and panchayat raj minister kt rama rao said here on thursday said that the itc has proposed to set up a food processing park in the state and the representatives of the company have already discussed the matter with chief minister k chandrasekhar rao in this regard.though he did not confirm the venue of the new project, he hinted that it is most likely to be set up in the chief minister&rsquos constituency gajwel of medak district. however the project,  which is expected to create hundreds of employment opportunities and vast business for the packaging industries is still in the planning stage and more details will be announced only after official confirmation. besides itc is also going to make a fresh investment worth rs 3,000 crore in their paper mill at bhadrachalam, he added.speaking at the twoday national summit on &lsquopackaging for tomorrow&rsquo organised by the indian institute of packaging iip here on thursday, ktr once again stressed upon the government&rsquos interest to work closely with the industry. he extended full support to the packaging industry in the state and in return asked the packaging firms to help the government to promote handicrafts and cultural products of telangana on global stage. &ldquowith proper packaging techniques, we can transport our globally popular products like hyderabadi biryani and haleem across the world,&rdquo he said.responding to the iip&rsquos offer to establish packaging units and recycling,waste management centers in the state, the minister said &ldquothe government is ready to work with the iip and the details will be announced soon.&rdquo to promote  telangana as a business hub for global packaging firms, he requested the iip to make efforts to bring the &lsquoindiapack 2015&rsquo an upcoming international packaging exhibition to hyderabad. the exhibition, which will features around 300 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, is scheduled to be held in mumbai.the iip which has been working in hyderabad for the past eight years sought one acre land to build hostel for the students near its campus in sanathnagar. the minister responded positively and promised to provide the land.source www.newindianexpress.comstatestelanganaitclikelytosetupfoodprocessingpa…
