consumer products maker procter & gamble co. reached its waste reduction goal six years early and reached 70 global facilities delivering zero manufacturing waste to landfill, according to its latest sustainability report.the cincinnatibased procter & gamble p&g said it exceeded its waste reduction goal by achieving only 0.4 percent of input materials being disposed of as manufacturing waste to landfill at all its facilities. the goal called for less than 0.5 percent by 2020, according to a news release.in packaging, p&g innovations included the mr. clean liquid muscle product that includes a compaction formula with 45 percent less packaging.p&g also launched four new sustainability goals for 2020, including doubling the use of recycled resin in plastic packaging and to ensure that 90 percent of product packaging is recyclable.
