ukbased chilled pasta manufacturer ugo foods has launched a new packaging for its &lsquotipo artigianale&rsquo range.the new design sports a goldcoloured background that the company claims complements the premium quality of pasta. the front of the pack also comes with a red foil stamp to further distinguish its positioning.currently, the &39tipo artigianale&39 range is available on special offer at waitrose from 330 december and comes in three different fillings wild mushroom and truffle, crab and crayfish and asparagus, pea and mint.ugo foods senior account handler beverley singer said "with this refresh we wanted to highlight our unique combination of tradition and innovation to the consumer.""we are proud to be one of the few italian food manufacturers that uses bespoke production machinery to make the highest quality pasta whilst still retaining our traditional artisan methods."&39tipo artigianale&39 is an italian term which is used to express the artisan nature of dell&39ugo&39s top tier pasta range.established in 1929, dell&39ugo produces pasta based on traditional italian family recipes. the products will be available in the new packaging in stores from december.the company specialises in making filled and unfilled pasta, based on authentic italian recipes with fresh ingredients.its pasta currently includes a range of ravioli, gnocchi and glutenfree chickpea fusilli apart from the tipo artigianale range.the company is credited to be the first in the uk to add gnocchi to its range of pasta, introduce organic and wholewheat pastas and fresh glutenfree, wheatfree pastas.
