valgroup works across rigid and flexible plastics packagingvalgroup packaging solutions has acquired dow chemical&39s findlay, ohio usa plant and is operating it through the whollyowned subsidiary valfilm north america. the deal includes the acquisition of the plant&39s physical assets, technology and intellectual property.the findlay unit currently produces barrier films for food packaging, metal adhesion films and embossed films. valgroup plans to broaden the product mix to include stretch film, widely used in industrial packaging, from april 2015.the deal is part of valgroup&39s expansion strategy in the north american market where valfilm has been operating for two years at its california site specialising in the production of prestretched stretch film.valgroup works across rigid and flexible plastics packaging and its companies are present in the us, brazil, mexico and portugal. it has capacity to process 400,000 tonnes of resin per year.
