Berlin (Germany), 18/07/2016: BEKUM Maschinenfabriken now have a new Technical Director. Dr. Wilfried Lehmann will take over this role with immediate effect.Dr. Wilfried Lehmann is known to BEKUM customers already, as he previously held this position from 1998 to 2002. With this foundation, he will be able to draw on his practical experience in blow-moulding technology. Dr. Lehmann looks back on many years of international management experience in the plastic and machine tool industry, including at Ferromatik Milacron and Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik.
In his role as Technical Director he aims to focus specifically on standardisation and modularisation for all blow-moulding system series at BEKUM. Here, potential synergies from the packaging sector and automotive industry will be more closely linked. For Dr. Lehmann, the sustainable development of process and rheological expertise is on the agenda, with the aim of ensuring lasting customer satisfaction. Dr. Lehmann: “Our customers should be so satisfied with our machines that they keep recommending BEKUM to others with complete conviction. From our perspective, high availability, process reliability and high production quantities of our machines and equipment form the best basis for the BEKUM brand to convince the market.”

The outstanding role of BEKUM, known as a technology leader in the blow-moulding industry with high quality standards worldwide for over 55 years, will receive a dynamic impetus from the new Technical Director Dr. Lehmann. BEKUM will gain from Dr. Wilfried Lehmann’s in-depth expertise in the industry and his many years of experience to develop its range of machines, to safeguard the technological value of the BEKUM brand and help shape the company’s future success. Following the successful implementation of the BEKUM Group reorganisation with offices in Berlin (Germany) and Traismauer (Austria), Dr. Lehmann will now secure the company’s market success in development and design, and continue to advance and provide impetus in the areas of packaging and automotive.
