AMI, Bristol, November 2016 - Specialist plastics research consultancy AMI has released the programme for the 10th anniversary edition of BOPP Film, the only conference dedicated to the interests of the global BOPP industry.
Held every two years, the 2017 event will take place in the U.S. for the first time on 27-29 March 2017 at the Ft. Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Golf Resort in Coral Springs, Florida. Over two days, delegates will have the opportunity discover the latest developments in raw materials and film technology for BOPP film manufacture as well as gain unrivalled insight into how the global business is changing and the opportunities this offers.
The event will open with a market overview session including an AMI presentation on market growth and opportunities for the BOPP industry, together with Sealed Air offering the consumer’s perspective on the packaging industry and Vitopel bringing insights on trends and innovations from Latin America.
The advanced materials session features a number of leading raw materials suppliers including Shantou Best Science & Technology, Ineos and ExxonMobil exploring the latest developments in resin, masterbatch and additives for high performance BOPP film production. Meanwhile, Brückner Servtec, Kuhne Anlagenbau and Goebel Schneid-und Wickelsystem will provide updates on manufacturing technologies for efficient, enhanced film processing.
With growing demand for speciality films, the technical developments session focuses on added value opportunities in high barrier films, coatings and new applications in labelling. These topics and more will be examined by expert speakers from Davis Standard, Applied Materials Web Coating and the Cobro-Packaging Research Institute amongst others.
The business forum will give an insight into the external forces acting on the BOPP market, with a presentation from Ernst & Young on macroeconomic trends and mergers and acquisitions, and Mondelez giving a brand’s eye view of BOPP and flexible packaging trends.
