Group to take part in the third edition of Sitevinitech, a key Argentinian fair at the centre of one of South America's - and the world's - most important wine- making regions. Sacmi will be showcasing complete, integrated filling and labelling lines.
Over 13,000 industry professionals are expected to attend the third edition of Sitevinitech – stand 62/70 HB, the international fair to be held from 27 th to 29 th October 2016 in the city of Mendoza which lies at the centre of one of the biggest wine-making districts in Argentina and all South America. The world's fifth-largest wine producer, the seventh-largest in terms of vineyard surface area (over 230 million hectares), Argentina represents a strategic outlet market for the complete filling lines designed and built by Sacmi.
A distinctive characteristic of Sacmi solutions is its range of Bag-In- Box fillers. Featuring unique compactness, efficiency, filling precision, process speed and hygiene (thanks to innovative valves, nitrogen injection and mass flow measurement systems), these machines can handle sizes ranging from 1.5 litres to over 20 litres, with output rates spanning from 270 Bag-in- Box/hour – in the 20-litre size – to 900 packs/hour in the 1.5-litre size. Sacmi machines are characterised by compactness and high productivity – not to mention systems that avoid both potential contamination and any product leakage – and offer the perfect plant engineering solution for wine products, soft drinks, beverages and syrups.
With this range of fillers, the Group has also thrown down the gauntlet in the flexible packaging sector. Sacmi is already on the global market with integrated solutions for automated control of “single” and “webbed” stand-up pouches (beverage packs common in North America and Europe that differ from traditional pouches because, as the name suggests, they can stand alone without any need for a cardboard box) and its latest solutions offer customers advantages in terms of production flexibility and efficiency as both Bag in Box and Pouches can be produced on the same filler.
In addition to the BIB filler range, Sacmi also stands out on the packaging market through its capacity to design complete turnkey plants that, downstream from the line, include personalised automatic packaging options such as:
- Pick&Place case packing and wrap around systems
- Palletizing and de-palletizing systems
- Product handling systems with automatic laser guided vehicles (LGV).
Sacmi will also be taking advantage of this third edition of Sitevinitech to illustrate the advantages of KUBE, the comprehensive new range of modular labellers. These stand out for their ability to process all bottle types flexibly and efficiently and utilise different label and labelling system types (self- adhesive, hot glue, cold glue) with just a single passage through the machine: this last characteristic is particularly appreciated in the wine sector. Completing the picture is Sacmi's patented bottle positioning system which allows, via a single video camera and sensor, proper orientation of sparkling wine caps, brands marked in relief or seams on the glass.
