The Product
Navage SaltPod (Replacement Capsules)
The Challenge
RhinoSystems was entering uncharted merchandising territory with Navage’s new product introduction. There were a lot of opportunity and considerations to keep in mind for the consumer, retailer and the product protection.
The First Choice Packaging Solution
From the very start, FCP was able to lend expert design, production and distribution support to the product launch. Ultimately, Navage’s packaging evolved to meet the needs of both the consumer (online and retail) and retailer with two different blister packages for their replacement SaltPods.
1) 30-Quantity Cavity Blister Tray for Online Shoppers:
A clamshell cavity tray with heat-sealed card was designed to protect 30 saline replacement capsules, which are shipped to online shoppers. It was complete with branding and a convenient corner clip that allows consumers to pull the card from the flange.
2) 20-Quanity Cavity Blister Tray for Retail Inclusion:
A clamshell cavity tray with heat sealed card was designed to protect 20 saline replacement capsules, which was then shrink-wrapped onto the back of the Navage device carton, and used on retail shelves. It was complete with branding and a convenient corner clip that allows consumers to pull the card from the flange.
The Results
For this new product introduction, RhinoSystems was able to reduce the size and cost of the packaging, appealing to its online and in-store retail customer. In addition, the blister packaging allowed for enhanced branding with additional security for the replacement pods.
