More Than 70 Of Americans Can Recycle Plastic Bags And Wraps Locally

More than 91 of the u.s. Population can recycle plastic bags locally and nearly 75 of people living in the u.s. Can recycle other types of flexible plastic wraps in their own communities, according to a new study conducted by moore recycling associates inc. The study, which examined flexible polyethylene film, which encompasses flexible plastic bags, sacks and many product wraps, identified more than 15,000 dropoff locations that collect these items for recycling.

A new report claims an additional 15 of plastic packaging was recycled in 2010 compared to 2009 across canada. The report, conducted by moore recycling associates, stated more than 217 million kilograms of postconsumer plastic packaging were collected for recycling in canada. The results are derived from a survey of more than 500 companies who are handling recycled plastics in north america. These companies are made up of reclaimers, exporters, brokers, mrfs material recovery facilities and other handlers of used plastics.
