Berry Global has launched a rectangular bottle made with up to 100% recycled HDPE for beauty, home, and personal care applications.
The US-based packaging manufacturer said the 250 ml bottle is also fully recyclable provided the ‘appropriate collection schemes exist’. Its neck is suitable for a variety of caps and closures and its rectangular bottle shape allows for more efficient stacking, minimising wasted space on shelf and during transportation and storage.
The so-called Domino bottle can be customised on all four sides, creating a high-impact shelf presence. The side panels can be customised with distinctive, textured embossing or debossing to create a tactile experience for consumers.
“In a retail environment where consumers are influenced by how brands are presented on-shelf, impactful packaging and graphic design is critical,” said Joe Horton, sales and marketing director at Berry Agile Solutions. “We want companies to be able to easily create eye-catching designs in line with their own brand objectives. Domino helps brands quickly respond to current consumer trends and create the ‘Wow’ factor at lower cost.”
Berry Agile Solutions specialises in rapid sample delivery, low-cost customisation options, and low minimum order quantities. The new bottle is part of Berry’s B Circular Range of products designed for circularity. It is currently manufactured at Berry’s site in Beccles, UK.
Other circularity initiatives by Berry Global include a closed-loop system for film bags and an increase in its film recycling capacity at three European sites. Last year, the company confirmed the closure of 20 of its over 295 sites.
