The packaging, provided by glass manufacturer Verallia, uses lighter glass, which can be widely recycled, and Brockmans Gin claims the new bottle weighs ‘significantly less than its competitors’.
The bottle weighs 500 grams and will be the ‘lightest bottle of its competitive set’ – claimed to be 30% less glass weight than its direct competitors, on average.
It also contains 51% post-consumer recycled glass content – 0.6% previously)
Jean-Dominique Andreu, managing director of Brockman Gin, said: “Our new bottle represents a significant step in our journey towards sustainability. We are proud to lead the industry with this innovative, lightweight packaging and we are committed to continuing our efforts to create a more sustainable future.”.
Axel Guilloteau, general manager, Verallia, said: “We are constantly looking to align with clients who are inspired to reduce their impact on the environment and ones that look at packaging from a completely new perspective.”
As the launch date approaches, Brockmans will continue to refine its new bottle’s specifications, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
