This child-proof packaging manufactured by A&R Carton for Orion Pharma Oy Sileo, a medicine for dogs. The material is a special, tear-resistant board from Stora Enso, Ensocard Pharma TR. The internal engineering of the pack is amazing, which allows it to be easily opened by an adult by depressing the areas highlighted with yellow, while the contents are safely secured from children. The carton is produced in a single run on the machine as well as filling in a single run. Functionality, usability and sustainability are absolutely state-of-the-art, due to the specially-developed material and structural design. A dark blue background shows the contours of a dog’s head, alongside product information and instructions for use. The main requirement was for a closure mechanism which could be opened and closed at least ten times. For easier handling by adults, the touch areas for opening are highlighted in colour. The structural core idea was to produce the carton in a single run on the machine as well as filling in a single run. This child-proof box made of a single material.
