The new pack brings savings of £450,000 on packaging and transport costs, compared to the original design, whilst providing faster pack assembly and reduced storage space. The pack is designed to ship 2 car engines from the uk to china and has been tested to a compression load of 6000kg. The solution maximises a 40’ shipping container, improving the capacity by 22%, the overall usage of containers has decreased by 18% saving approximately £350,000.
