The limited-edition design is featured in its 1kg tub range, to encourage consumers to be ‘tub-aware’, or ‘aware’ of food waste, by pushing people to reuse the yoghurt ‘tub’ to store and reinvent their leftovers.
“When you’ve finished a delicious tub of Farmers Union Greek Style Yogurt, the empty tub is perfect for storing leftover food,” said Nicole Alifragis, brand manager at Bega Group.
“And, when you’re ready to eat your leftovers, we’ve created delicious ways to reinvent them with simple recipes and of course, our yogurt, which you’ll find through the QR code on our ‘tub-aware’ packs.”
According to the company, the majority of food waste in Australia occurs at home, with each household spending between $2000 and $2500 on wasted food.
Customers can add Farmers Union yoghurt to their soup recipes to add richness or serve it as a topping for savoury foods such as baked potatoes or tacos.
Farmers Union’s 1kg Natural Greek Style Yoghurt, with its ‘tub-aware’ design, is available in Woolworths, Coles, and Independent Supermarkets nationwide.
