Highcon Systems Ltd., a trailblazer in digital die cutting, has announced the successful installation of its Highcon Beam 2 digital die cutting system at Ingram Express Services (IES), a Nashville-based provider of print, display graphics, fulfillment, and distribution services.
This strategic investment represents a significant achievement for IES, allowing the company to efficiently handle short runs, ensure quick turnaround times, and explore new market opportunities in its folding carton business. The digital die cutting system will also be utilized for corrugated (micro-flute) applications in packaging, inserts, and displays, serving diverse packaging needs across industries.
The Highcon Beam 2 offers a sustainable and flexible digital alternative to traditional die-making processes. Its agility in job setups and production readiness makes it well-suited for short to medium run lengths and short delivery times, enabling easy management of unplanned changes and quick adaptation to market demands.
Shlomo Nimrodi, CEO of Highcon, commented, "Highcon’s innovative solutions continue to drive success, with a rapidly expanding customer base in the US and Europe, reflecting the growing demand for cutting-edge digital die-cutting technology." He highlighted how the laser cutting system empowers IES to produce on demand, eliminate minimum order quantities (MOQs), minimize inventory, and reduce costs, ultimately enabling a broader range of applications and faster job completion.
IES President, Josh Winters, expressed optimism about the capabilities of the Highcon Beam 2, stating, "We anticipate that the Highcon Beam 2 will enhance our capabilities to meet the increasing demands of both new and existing customers for custom packages and swift job turnaround." He emphasized the transformation of conventional packages into unique and value-added solutions, providing a memorable unboxing experience for customers.
Winters also praised Highcon for their support throughout the process, noting, "Highcon was there every step of the way, educating and training our staff. We knew we weren’t just purchasing a piece of equipment; we’ve created a partnership. Now that we have reached the production stage, it is good to know that the Highcon team is always available to help with any specific questions that may arise."
