Pakka has launched an innovative range of flexible packaging solutions designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable options in the food packaging sector. The new lineup includes three pioneering offerings that emphasize eco-friendliness without compromising on performance.
The M1 is a paper-based compostable structure that boasts superior barrier properties and heat/cold sealability, making it versatile for various food packaging applications. Its counterpart, the M3, is also paper-based, both recyclable and compostable, offering a balance of excellent barrier features with effective heat sealing. These two solutions are ideal for packaging chocolates, confectioneries, granola bars, nuts, and tea. The NM1, a non-metallized structure, also provides specialized barrier properties tailored for chocolates and confectioneries.
These products are compatible with digital, flexographic, and gravure printing technologies. They are food-grade, certified compostable, lightweight, and offer premium aesthetics. In line with Pakka's commitment to sustainability, the solutions were developed to reduce packaging waste, furthering the company’s mission of environmental stewardship.
Pakka’s sustainable packaging journey began last year in partnership with Brawny Bear, a renowned nutrition brand, where they introduced India’s first compostable flexible packaging for food products.
Jagdeep Hira, India Business Head at Pakka, commented, “For over four decades, we have worked toward a vision of making the earth cleaner. Expanding our product range in compostable flexible packaging was a natural progression. The demand for sustainable flexible packaging is huge, and with these new offerings, we are not only catering to this need but also contributing to a reduction in packaging waste."
Pakka’s continued commitment to providing businesses and consumers with sustainable packaging options marks a significant step forward in the company’s effort to reduce environmental impact in the food packaging industry.
