Pregis®, a global leader in protective packaging, mailing, bagging, and flexible packaging solutions, has announced significant investments in new production lines at its facilities in Bethel, Pennsylvania, and Reno, Nevada. This expansion aims to boost the production capacity of the Pregis EverTec™ Mailer portfolio, with a particular emphasis on the EverTec Non-Cushioned Mailer. The move highlights Pregis' commitment to addressing the increasing demands of the e-commerce fulfillment and retail sectors.
Stephan Carter, President of Pregis Mailing Solutions, emphasized that the expansion is a result of strategic planning and the company's proactive approach to meeting the rising need for fiber-based, curbside recyclable mailers. "Upgrading our existing facilities with new production lines allows us to broaden our reach and more efficiently deliver our most popular mailing solutions to customers nationwide," said Carter. "These enhancements in production capabilities position Pregis at the forefront of providing reliable and efficient packaging solutions tailored to the evolving market demands."
The Pregis Mailing Solutions portfolio has earned a strong reputation in the e-commerce packaging sector, known for producing durable and sustainable solutions. EverTec Mailers, which are curbside recyclable, are now made with paper certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI), underscoring Pregis' commitment to responsible sourcing practices. The new production lines on the East and West coasts will ensure that e-commerce fulfillment centers across the U.S. have access to these mailers, enhancing customer experiences. Additionally, the expanded capabilities will facilitate further innovation to meet retail needs, including the introduction of gussets, wickets, and various e-commerce mailer configurations.
Since 2020, Pregis has been steadily expanding its Mailing Solutions production capabilities, including the addition of full-color digital printing for the EverTec Mailer line. Production at the Bethel facility began in May 2021, followed by Reno in March 2022. Together with other facilities in Arlington, McDonough, and Elk Grove Village, these strategically located sites ensure comprehensive national coverage for EverTec Mailers across North America.
