The nation's top retailer is replacing its current plastic mailers for paper in order to cut waste and be more sustainable when it comes to recycling waste.
It's tweaking fulfillment center packing to use less material and giving customers the choice to skip the plastic bag option when picking up orders, according to a CNBC report.
"It's about making sustainability the everyday choice for our customers," Jane Ewing, Walmart's senior vice president of sustainability, told the news outlet. "And it's about making sure the path of least resistance is the most sustainable one."
