After the Brand Identity Grand Prix announced in February (1st prize – Beverage category), Librottiglia, the innovative product designed and realized by Reverse Innovation design agency together with the Matteo Correggia winery, has won three additional awards. The “new entries” are the American The Dieline (2nd position - Wine & Champagne category) and Core 77 (Notable – Packaging Award), and the Italian One More Pack (Best Innovation – Professional category).
The One More Pack awards ceremony was held on June 23rd in Naples while Core 77 announced its winners on June 1st. Librottiglia is competing for further recognition in the Core 77 Community Choice Prize. Voting is done online and the results will be revealed shortly. The Dieline competition attracted more than 1,200 entries from around the world, and the awards ceremony was held on May 19th, in Atlanta, United States.
The name Librottiglia is a combination of the Italian words for “book” and “bottle”. In fact, the distinguishing feature of the range is the use of a small, elegant book as a wine label. The characteristics of three types of wine are matched with three narrative genres to create an oeno-literary experience based on the sensorial impressions of the wine and the scenarios imagined in the stories. The modern, minimalist graphic design features an illustration that represents a significant moment in every story.
Three authors have been involved in the collection of exciting stories that accompany the selection of wines in the special 375ml format. The singer and writer Patrizia Laquidara wrote “La Rana nella Pancia” (“The Frog in the Belly"), an intriguing story which complements the uncommon personality of the red Anthos; a dry Brachetto with a surprising sweet bouquet. “Ti amo. Dimenticami” ("I love you. Forget me"), by Regina Nadaes Marques, writer and cultural producer, is the story of a life changing love, that matches the intense ruby red Nebbiolo Roero. “L’Omicidio” ("Murder"), by journalist and satirist Danilo Zanelli, is a humour-tinged mystery that blends with the fresh, light spirit of the white Roero Arneis.
Librottiglia appeals to wine and literature lovers that enjoy collectable products.
"Nowadays we read books on computers, tablets and mobile phones. Why not on a bottle of wine?" This was the reflection of the Reverse Innovation creative team. "After years of debate between analogue and digital, we propose an alternative: oenological!"
