Biometric authentication technology is a camerabased, layered, anticounterfeiting system that captures the information embedded in the structure of a particular package, transforming it into a digital signature using proprietary software. One in 1,027 signatures have identical configurations. Currently used in highsecurity markets, such as secured documents, currency and highend cosmetics, the technology has no known method of counterfeiting, eliminating the need for reevaluation and investment in future anticounterfeiting technologies.
