TUBEX GmbH has developed an aluminium aerosol can called Purity. This can is manufactured without any ink or lacquer on the inside or outside. The manufacturing process has been altered in such a way to completely forego the lacquering. As a result there is less CO2 emissions, less use of energy, solvent and resources. There is no alteration of the slug specs but displays advanced properties i.e. higher burst pressure. Inside and outside lacquer was required for the shaping process even for non-critical filling products.

No one does packaging stunts quite like Coca-Cola, and here’s another clever idea from the soda giant—bottle labels that detach and become working wristbands that young people can use to access music festivals. The wristbands, developed by McCann Bucharest, came in eight designs. Not every one granted access to a festival—you had to scan it with a special app to see if it was a winner—but McCann says youngster started collecting and wearing them as fashion statements. Among Coke's festival partners is Transylvania's Untold, one of the premiere musical events in Europe.

Knauf Industries has developed and is manufacturing this new industrial packaging for fire hydrants for Bayard. The protection is eco-designed, delivering the same protection and resistance functions as the previous, wooden protection but with lower environmental impact. It is made from airpop and is 7 times lighter than the former packaging (2kg instead of 15kg). It is 100 % recyclable by crushing, compacting PS granule extrusion. This multi-product packaging is designed to protect 4 different models of hydrants, so there is no need to manage several packaging references.

Comexi has developed an innovative combination of Comexi Cingular Laser and lamination in register. The solution devised by Comexi saves costs in production, machinery and energy as it simplifies the process of creating a window in a packaging. Furthermore, the system allows developing – when is desired – a solvent less process in lamination or printing. It is a technology that makes a difference and optimizes production following the latest demands and market trends.
