Berlin, 5 December 2018 – The results of the European Bioplastics’ annual market data update, presented today at the 13th European Bioplastics Conference in Berlin, confirm a stable growth of the global bioplastics industry. “The global market for bioplastics is predicted to grow by roughly 25 percent over the next five years“, says Hasso von Pogrell, Managing Director of European Bioplastics.

American Control Electronics Releases PML Series: Microcontroller-Based Brushless DC Motor Controls

SOUTH BELOIT, IL – November 29, 2018 – American Control Electronics (ACE) has introduced the PML Series, a new family of versatile, feature-rich, configurable controls for brushless DC motors. PML drives can control motors that range from 90 to 280 VDC, up to 5 amps/1.5 HP, using either 115 VAC or 230 VAC line sources. On-board trim pots allow operators to quickly set maximum and minimum speeds, acceleration and deceleration rates, motoring and regening current limits, as well as the proportional and integral feedback gains.

December 04, 2018: FlexFilms, the global film manufacturing arm of Uflex, has been granted United States Patent covering entire categories of Formable Films that include one or more BOPET layers used in Alu Alu blister packaging. The patent US 10131122 was issued to Flex Films (USA) Inc on November 20, 2018 for a period of 20 years, lending a competitive advantage to the Films Business of the company over its opponents in cold formed pharmaceutical packaging industry.

More sustainable tube material from LINHARDT at alverde NATURKOSMETIK

From now on, alverde NATURKOSMETIK produces its tubes with at least 50 percent recycled material. A new production process, which was developed together with our partner Linhardt, makes it possible to conserve valuable resources by adding recycled material. For the alverde tubes, so-called post-consumer recycled plastics are used, i.e. packaging waste resulting from private consumption. Initially, around 50 products will be converted to the new packaging material.
