The Basics PET plastic bottles are currently made through a process that turns sugarcane into a key component of PET plastic. Available in nine countries as of 2010, more than 2.5 billion PlantBottle packages have reached the marketplace and that’s just the beginning. The Benefits PlantBottle packages are just like traditional PET plastic bottles – fully recyclable, convenient, lightweight - except that instead of being entirely made from petroleum and other fossil fuels, PlantBottle packaging uses materials made from plants.

The lightweight Eco P3 plastic pallet was specially developed for the chemical industry and tailored to its logistical challenges: utmost protection of sensitive loads and the smooth flow of goods. The Eco P3 is a consistent further development of the standard CP7 wooden pallet for the chemical industry – with all the advantages of a plastic pallet. It is light, stable, and can handle even heavy loads.

 The two companies start the first collaboration in the central / north America, to exploit the Bio-on technologies for the industrial production of PHA bioplastics valorizing different local feedstock.

 In the coming months Bio-on will work in exclusive with Innova Imagen to bring natural and biodegradable bioplastics for many market sectors into Mexico, with particular attention to the textile and fashion industry.

Dr Björn Margeirsson, Research Manager at RPC Sæplast and Assistant Professor at the University of Iceland together with three of his students performed an ice melt study, comparing the Sæplast 70-L PUR container, with and without a lid, with 70-L single walled PE boxes. They monitored the ambient temperatures and the melting of the ice and calculated the insulation values for the three different formats.
