The cross-bottom bag is becoming a competitive advantage: with the new EXTRA 5-FS, GARANT has recognized the international packaging trend and is introducing a cross-bottom bag machine that meets the needs of modern and ecological production. The EXTRA 5-FS is technically based on the TRIUMPH 5-F6, the benchmark machine for block-bottom bags since 2021. There is already high demand from the hygiene sector, especially for diaper packaging.

Therapies and vaccines with mRNA substances as well as cell and gene therapies are becoming increasingly important. However, these novel active ingredients entail special challenges: On the one hand, they must be transported and stored on dry ice at freezing temperatures of down to -100 °C. On the other hand, special light protection is frequently required, depending on the type of substance.

Plastipak, a global leader in the design, manufacturing and recycling of plastic containers, announced today the creation of the lightest preform solution for a 20 liter stackable container in the European market, which will eliminate around 200 tons of CO2 emissions each year. As partner in the project, PVG Liquids carried out the validation of the light weight stackable container.
