Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, 01 July 2016 – The judges’ minds, as well as hearts, were won over by contemporary Russian artist Olga Tobreluts, in the third edition of the Lenstar® Lenticular Print Awards.

Her work, Heart was transformed from 2D to 3D by Egor Korotkov and printed by MagicVision.RU. It won the 2016 Artistic Lenticular Award and also proved to be the favourite among drupa 2016 visitors, to gain the Supreme Public Preference Award. 

After the Brand Identity Grand Prix announced in February (1st prize – Beverage category), Librottiglia, the innovative product designed and realized by Reverse Innovation design agency together with the Matteo Correggia winery, has won three additional awards. The “new entries” are the American The Dieline (2nd position - Wine & Champagne category) and Core 77 (Notable – Packaging Award), and the Italian One More Pack (Best Innovation – Professional category).

The ten finalists of packaging innovation contest De Gouden Noot 2016 that were announced on 1 July 2016 are attracting global attention as the debate unfolds which of these will become the final Gold winner later this year. De Gouden Noot is arguably the world’s most competitive packaging innovation contest. With De Gouden Noot the NVC stimulates innovation of packaging and packaged products. The unique trophy with a solid golden walnut inside is the symbol of the contest.

On Tuesday afternoon 28 June 2016 the graduation ceremony took place of the diplomas NVC Packaging Professional I and II for those students who successfully completed the exams in the past six months. The festive meeting took place in the famous Arti Legi 15th Century ancient Latin School in Gouda, The Netherlands. Twenty-six business students are now also qualified NVC Packaging Professional I or II with their names added to the Register of NVC Packaging Professionals, bringing the total number to 617.
