Mt Rainier collaborates with Evangelion on new packaging for coffee sold in convenience stores

The Evangelion-themed packaging comes in 6 different designs. The designs feature silhouettes of some of the most iconic Evangelion units but also features more subtle patterns taken from the show, such as the font for the series’ title cards and the style of NERV’s user interface.

The Mt Rainier x Evangelion coffee packaging designs are currently available in limited quantities at convenience stores all across Japan.

Tom Ford’s automatic Ocean Plastic Sport Watch is made from recycled materials

Created by the Tom Ford Timepieces, the Tom Ford 002 Ocean Plastic Sport Watch is the first automatic watch made entirely from recycled ocean plastic.

Each Ocean Plastic watch reportedly uses around 35 bottles of recycled plastic waste. It is one of Tom Ford’s endeavours to reduce ocean waste.

Sidel helps Guerlain expand production capacity and prevent counterfeiting

Guerlain, one of France’s oldest perfume and cosmetics houses, is using the latest end of line and traceability technologies from Sidel to fight counterfeiting. Sidel’s combi packing/palletising solution for bottles in cartons is also delivering product care and compactness on Guerlain’s new line for advanced skincare. 

The solution is now in place at Guerlain’s main production site near Chartres, France. Guerlain is a subsidiary of luxury goods house LVMH and this facility, known as La Ruche (the beehive), is at the heart of France’s ‘cosmetics valley.’  

Bulgarian production site is expanded

Following a construction period of around one year, the building extension at the Bozhurishte production site was officially opened yesterday by the MULTIVAC Management Board. The guests at the inauguration ceremony included Nikola Stoyanov, Bulgarian Min-ister of Economy and Industry, and Dr Antoaneta Bares, Managing Director of National Company Industrial Zones EAD. Additional production and assembly facilities, as well as state-of-the-art of-fices, covering a total area of around 5,600 square metres, are now available for use. The investment amounted to around six million euros.

Pusterla Pollards creates Hotel Chocolat hamper box with sustainability focus

Hotel Chocolat says over 94% of its packaging has been recyclable or reusable since 2021, and the hamper packaging had to both address on-shelf appeal as well as sustainability.

The box features embossed ecofoil finish that covers the lid of the box, with a plastic-free lamination. The lid is embossed in-house by Pollards with a wave texture and a simple black fluted Hotel Chocolat logo in the centre. All print features use vegetable-based inks.
