Now ban of plastic cutlery in Gurgaon, where are we heading. New Delhi bans plastic bags but allows non woven PP bags which is really speaking no different than the plastic bags once those are also in circulation in plenty. The bans are posed in the name of the environment. Sometimes, I wonder if this is really environment concern or power show to industries. If officials are so much concerned about the environment than why don't they stop it from the day one when these technologies are introduced and work more on recyclability/sustainability plans rather than just banning. I don't see any nationwide education programs on media to handle such nuisance of plastic bags littering. We need to lear to manage the problem and not simply ban it.
Are we going to ban the telecom services if we look at the e-waste of mobile phones?
