After the official ribbon cutting, customers and senior Berry personnel were honoured in a traditional Pooja ceremony followed by the traditional lighting of a lamp. Guests then had the opportunity to tour the new building, which will create around 500 local jobs in the coming years and improve regional and global access to a wide range of advanced healthcare solutions.

Berry Global chairman and CEO Tom Salmon said: “The opening of this impressive facility marks another major milestone in Berry’s worldwide healthcare operations.

The BellaGiada structural design team worked with London Contour Experts to develop a collapsible pack that could store flat and, when 'made up', become a fully rigid presentation pack worthy of a luxury brand. The pack comes with matching tissue paper, tissue stickers, hand-stamped envelopes with replica wax closer, a compliment card, and one of 12 'character' cards to accompany the goods.

“The horticulture groves have a prolonged demand that the apples not be sold on a per-kilogram basis; we fulfilled it by doing trade on a weight basis last year. The farmers raised objections and demanded that the 30 kg could be packaged in carton boxes, against the 20 kg fixed by us,” said Jagat Singh Negi, horticulture minister.

He said that the farmers wanted to implement the universal packaging material with standardisation. “We have provisions under the APMC Act.”

The CabCube 3.0 3R – the latest model in the range – measures 1235mm x 830mm x 954mm when assembled and has a folded height of just 239mm. Weighing 43kg and offering a volume of 722 litres, the unit has a static load capacity of 1500kg, and a dynamic and racking load capacity of 500kg. Warehouse managers will be able to stack a maximum of 1+5 units (at 250kg each).
