When operations at the site begin on July 1, 2025, the area dedicated to cleanroom pouch production will have doubled in size com-pared to its previous capacity. 

From September 24 to 26, 2024, the “Seed meets Technology” event in Zwaagdijk-Oost, Netherlands (near Amsterdam) will focus on innovations in the horticulture industry – from cutting-edge technology to sustainable solu-tions for plant protection, cultivation, and marketing. And SÜDPACK will also be there: The renowned film manufacturer will showcase its range of high-barrier laminates for packaging sensitive seeds, with a special focus on its range of recyclable PP-based products.

European tube market takes a break from growth 

The European tube market was somewhat weaker in the first half of 2024. The european tube manufacturers association (etma) reported a decline in deliveries of 1 per cent to a total volume of around 6 billion units.
