The full Flora range has been united under one look, inspired by the products’ natural and 100% plant-based ingredients.

All the recipes have been aligned to be made from 100% plant based and dairy free and palm oil free.

All Flora spreads will now be in store with a fresh new look, with each product featuring a bold, colourful palette making it easier for consumers to choose their favourite.

For 18 months, Cox & Co has been working towards producing a paper flow wrap to replace its compostable plastic packaging. Working closely with a paper manufacturer in Sweden to find the right type of material and reconfiguring its flow wrap machine to accept it, this week saw the first ever 100% paper flow wrapped chocolate bar roll off the production line.

With the country now banning single-use plastic cups, Berry partnered with InfinyCup, a family-owned company specialising in reusable food and beverage tableware for big events, to provide drinking cups for the stadiums in Bordeaux and Lille.

SuperCup has a beer-like design and which Berry says is 30% lighter than conventional reusable plastic beer cups available on the market.

All reusable drinking cups within the SuperCup range are dishwasher safe, helping to help ensure effortless cleaning.

Siegwerk, a prominent global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging and labels, has announced the successful development of a fully recyclable mono-PE bag for dry pet food, utilizing its CIRKIT functional coatings. Collaborating with printing machine manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher and bag making and machine producer B&B, the company has produced a new high-barrier mono-material packaging. This innovative solution not only matches the performance of the commonly used multi-material structure for dry pet food packaging but also meets recycling standards.

There are approximately 30 billion square meters of packaging tape worldwide, and the numbers are growing with the expansion of e-commerce. The market is currently dominated by plastic tape, constituting 80% of all packaging tape. However, there exists a more sustainable alternative in the form of paper tape, which paves the way for a plastic-free future for packaging. UFlex has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Amplus Phoenix to source renewable power under a group captive power policy. The plant will provide solar power to UFlex’s packaging films manufacturing plant in Dharwad, Karnataka.  

In line with UFlex's goal of being net zero by 2035, or earlier, this move will strategically reduce UFlex’s carbon emissions by approximately 19000 tons of CO2 equivalent.
