International Conference on FOOD CONTACT COMPLIANCE aims to report on state of the art for the regulation of Food Contact Compliance on the international scene. In 3rd edition, this conference is scheduled to organise from 21 to 23 September at Baveno (Italy), Bruxelles and Munich. The fi rst day will be dedicated to topical regulatory and technical issues such as GMP, industrial Guidelines, recycling plastics, active and intelligent materials, paper and cardboard, inks and adhesives. The second day will focus on the legal and analytical aspects of community and global regulations. The main national legislations that have yet to be harmonized will be examined, along with the activities of the Council of Europe, the application of the principle of “mutual recognition of national legislation” (with mention of the recent plans of the European Commission to amend the current text in force), existing international laws in the USA, Canada, China, Japan and MERCOSUR, and the current situation of the BPA in Europe and the United States. The third day will be dedicated to the latest developments in the activities of the EFSA. This will be followed by a round table dedicated to the application of the laws in Europe, in which the various heads of control at national and European level will take turns in speaking.
