If you listen to podcasts, you’ve probably heard of the direct-to-consumer dental care brand Quip.
The low-cost, easy-to-use smart brush helps customers use proper technique for the recommended brushing time. The brand has since brought the same convenience and thoughtful design to other oral care products like its refillable dental floss pick, which also reduces plastic waste. Now, Quip has introduced dentist-approved chewing gum, using the same refillable concept, extending the brand’s presence in the oral hygiene market.
Like Quip’s other products, the gum gets that fancy seal of approval from the American Dental Association (ADA) and promotes good oral health in between brushes. The gum carrier comes in white as well as metallic finishes like gold, silver, slate, and copper, matching the brand’s other products.
One only needs to click the slim gum holder at the top to dish out the minty goodness, and you're in business. It’s like a Pez dispenser, but instead of candy, you get gum, and there’s no cartoon character head on the top. Quip’s playful logo is imprinted on each piece of chewing gum, counteracting the sleek machine-like design of the dispenser with some fun.
Combining the subscription and refillable model, Quip’s new gum also cuts down on packaging waste and multiple trips to the store. And while the need to keep your breath at its best for the sake of others isn’t as much of a concern these days, having a fresh feeling mouth is always the right choice.
Even if it’s under a mask or across a screen.
