Biometric authentication technology is a camerabased, layered, anticounterfeiting system that captures the information embedded in the structure of a particular package, transforming it into a digital signature using proprietary software. One in 1,027 signatures have identical configurations. Currently used in highsecurity markets, such as secured documents, currency and highend cosmetics, the technology has no known method of counterfeiting, eliminating the need for reevaluation and investment in future anticounterfeiting technologies. Can be used at multiple entry points in the supply chain and can handle packaging line speeds of 15 itemssec. It also allows for seamless integration with epedigree and serialization.
