china &ndash local dairy giant yili has introduced a premium milkshake product in china, featuring packaging design with a scandinavian touch for brand differentiation. the company wanted to capture a market opportunity in the premium dairy beverage market, by developing a new highend milkshake that comes in two flavours &ndash chocolate and papaya.born out of a tight collaboration between tetra pak inhouse studio supported by no picnic, tetra pak china and yili, the product and packaging have become a unique hit since its launch in china in spring 2012.the package is a cartonbased tetra prisma aseptic, and tetra pak&rsquos design studio was asked to create the brand identity and graphic design.as yili wanted a scandinavian touch to the packaging design in order to stand out on the shelves in china, the package features white and clean surfaces, and elegant handcreated typography, photography and illustrations tailored for the various package panels. beautiful metallic details give the packaging design an additional appeal factor.contributed by stuart hoggard
