extension organizes food packaging event at mercer county high school university of illinois extension mercer county 4h will hold a food packaging event at 330 p.m. tuesday, dec. 16, in the cafeteria of the mercer county high school, 1500 s. college ave., aledo, ill.high school youth, mercer county 4h federation and members of the community will package 10,000 meals. the meals will be distributed locally to the churches of mercer county food pantry. the project is funded by a grant from the illini feeding and growing our communities and illini fight hunger.if you would like to help, contact university of illinois extension at 3095825106.
