Formic Surpassed 200,000 Production Hours, Hosted First Automation Community Event

This achievement meant Formic’s robotic automation fleet was delivering the equivalent of five months of human labor every business day. To celebrate, the company hosted its first Formic Automation Community event on January 23, 2025, at its Chicago headquarters, in partnership with the Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network.
“When we founded Formic in 2020, it took us over two and a half years to reach 50,000 production hours. Since then, every milestone came faster than the last,” said Saman Farid, CEO of Formic. “For comparison, increasing from 150,000 to 200,000 production hours took just 94 days, with our robots maintaining 99.8% uptime. This growth reflected the rising market demand for automation. By hosting this event, we aimed to help more businesses embrace automation in the new year.”
