new cryptoglyph from alpvision...protecting your brand alpvision, leader in developing innovative solutions to protecting documents and packaging against counterfeiting, proposes cryptoglyph, a simple and cost effective solution that is easy to implement. it does not require additional security elements and uses standard printing processes. unlike processes which use additional elements such as special inks, holograms or special labels, cryptoglyph crypto encryption, glyph marks is printed using standard processes. it is formed using a large number of very small dots which are invisible to the naked eye. the dots are not identifiable with magnifying equipment and are hidden in the imperfections of the printed material. these very small dots may be printed on the entire primary or secondary packaging as well as on leaflets within the packaging. cryptoglyph enables unique marking of batches or production series it cannot be erased or altered because it is invisible and spread over the entire packaging surface. product authentication is simple because you use a standard scanner and dedicated software. now you can even use a mobile phone with its digital camera to verify products remotely worldwide. cryptoglyph a breakthrough accessible to all brands.cryptoglyph is the only process in the world providing an invisible marking with standard ink and standard printing processes offset, rotogravure, flexo, laser, inkjet, etc. therefore, cryptoglyph can be easily integrated into any current packaging production line without any modification. simply embed the invisible cryptoglyph file in the prepress digital packaging image file. cryptoglyph requires no packaging design modification and introduces no constraints limiting your packaging designers creativity. because of the encrypted information contained in cryptoglyph, tracking and tracing product batches is also possible helping you countering product diversion, a practice where authentic products are sold through unauthorized channels. speed and flexibility in new carrier applicators maximum flexibility with no loss in throughput is what khs ag required in its new line of flexiblefilm handle applicators. it met its machinebuilding objectives by specifying a controls package from bosch rexroth. called the innopack csm, the khs machine pulls a strip of sturdy flexible film from rollstock and cuts and glues it to the shrink film that holds bundled bottles together. this makes it easy for consumers to carry a bundle of bottles out of the store and into their homes. the need for flexibility stems from the fact that the beverage manufacturers who buy and use such a machine are constantly adjusting the number of bottles in a bundle andor the height of the bottles themselves. the innopack csms combination of servo drives and integrated motionlogic control lets the beverage company make adjustments with the press of a button at the screensale of owensillinois plastics business on the cards the worlds largest glass container manufacturer is considering hiving off its plastics packaging business as it reviews strategic options for the division. the worlds largest glass container manufacturer is considering hiving off its plastics packaging business as it reviews strategic options for the division. we do not believe the market is reflecting the full value of the business, an oi company spokesperson told one of reporters at decision news media. the firms plastics business makes up about 10 per cent of the companys revenues. it provides packaging to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.  the rest of the companys operations focus on the its core glass container manufacture. with the company sitting on around 5bn in debt, we believe that the potential sale will be viewed as an unequivocal positive, commented senior market analyst ghansham panjabi of wachovia capital markets. a new management team, on top of recent portfolio rejiggering has positioned the company on a solid footing over the next few years.  superabsorbent soaks up packaging problems a new superabsorbent intended for food packaging can soak up to 500 times its own weight in leaked liquid, claims the manufacturer.allowing products to soak in leaked blood and juice can lead to increased spoilage and reduced sales, as they appear less attractive to consumers.  basf this week said it has received approval from the food and drug administration fda to sell its new luquasorb fp 800 product for use in indirect food contact packaging. the company said luquasorb is suitable for products such as poultry, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. luquasorb fp 800 is made from crosslinked polyacrylates, which absorb and then bind leaked liquids. the product is sold as granules. the granules can be incorporated as a filler in the manufacture of soaker pads used in packaging.  absorbed liquids are retained and will not releak back into the product or into packaging, even when under pressurized conditions, claims the company.  the ability to absorb large volumes of liquid means only small amounts of the superabsorbent are necessary, reducing both packaging and transport costs, the manufacturer claims. luquasorb can also be used in other food plant applications, such as for thickening or absorbing liquid waste, in the event of spillages. glossy polyethylene offers alternative to pet moulded packaging made from a combination of new high density polyethylene hdpe and a colour masterbatch boosts glossiness by 200 per cent compared to competing products, the manufacturer claims. research shows that consumers are more attracted to glossy products, but packagers face the problem that increased gloss reduces the strength of packaging. ampacets pop gloss combined with hdpe, reduces these tradeoff, claims the company. as a result, the combination creates opaque hdpe containers that often can replace those made of pet to yield significant cost and processing advantages, the company claimed.   new members          atlas fiberpack industries          hariom biofoods pvts ltd          orchid chemicals & pharmaceuticals          tilda riceland
