containing a high percentage of grass as a raw material. C + G Papier GmbH Hennef/Germany, represents this cutting-edge innovation for the paper industry. The grass box was developed while searching for alternative fibre materials. So, without competing with food crops and improving technical properties, this new packaging was created. Developed as a joint project by C + G and the Fashion & Sports department at Otto. The shoes box designed according to specifications from the German Otto Group and manufactured by C + G Papier according to the patented process, consists of 51% of Graspap, an innovative material, and 49% of recycled paper. This product was used at the German logistics company Hermes Fulfilment GmbH, an Otto Group subsidiary, in the context of comprehensive practical testing with the new packaging material. Grass has all the basic properties that are necessary for the production of paper and therefore can be used in addition to waste paper and pulp in the future as a third component of raw material in making carton.
