lori nickel lnickel@lonsdalenewsreview.comchristmas came early for traci thieding, of lonsdale, as she was the lucky winner of a free shopping spree at fred&rsquos market place foods on monday dec. 22.lonsdale packaging owners rodney busch and al malecha offered the holiday prize to their employees through a random name drawing, and thieding won the grand prize &ndash three minutes to grab whatever she wanted from the shelves of fred&rsquos.when it came to strategy, thieding&rsquos plan was simple&ldquodon&rsquot trip&rdquo she said while tying her shoes in preparation for her free spree.with 30 coworkers cheering her on, thieding ran through the grocery store, heading to the meat department first. she was allowed to grab two of any item she wanted, and she made it count.as she neared the end, thieding ran to the front with her second shopping cart filled with a variety of food items, panting &ldquoi&rsquom out of shape.&rdquoher biggest score thieding said either the two boxes of alaskan king crab legs, or the steaks. most of it, she said, is going in her freezer.busch and malecha said they offered the contest to their employees, remembering they&rsquod seen a shopping spree done years ago. it was a big hit with everyone as they supported thieding by following her through the store, snapping pictures and making suggestions on what to grab next.after just three minutes of shopping time, thieding left the store with groceries worth 445.35.&ldquothank you, thank you, thank you, a million times thank you,&rdquo she happily told busch and malecha, who were there to cheer her on and to pay for the fun.
