Pealseam comprises of a thin, flexible lid, heatsealed to a rigid metal ring. The lidding incorporates a small tab for lifting. It can be used by food canners on their existing can filling and processing equipment and enables them to double seam on their existing closing machines in the conventional way like standard ends and easy open ends. It also offers canners the advantage of double seamed cans with typical high can integrity, whithout the responsibililty of heat sealing.
