quantum print and packaging has paid tribute to chris holmes, a founding member of the firm, who passed away on 5 march.holmes was a joint founding member of quantum in 2005 before selling the company and retiring through a mbo in early 2014.the company issued a statement which read &ldquoit is with great sadness that quantum print and packaging report the passing away of mr chris holmes on march 5th. he was a well known and respected figure in the print and packaging industry and had enjoyed building the company in to a success.&ldquochris was never one to suffer fools gladly and was always happy to speak his mind in a frank and honest manner where many a supplier representative would be left in no uncertain terms as to chris&rsquos opinion.&ldquohe had also earned a strong reputation for always being fair with colleagues and equally so in all business dealings with customers and suppliers. he will be missed by his family and all who worked with him and knew him.&ldquohe was a true effective character and a gentleman. the industry will also miss him.&rdquothe funeral is on 23 march , 12pm at streetley crematorium aldridge ,west midlands.
