easter egg recycling scheme at sainsbury&39s horsham sus150104120727001following the success of last year&rsquos trial, customers can now recycle their easter egg packaging at sainsbury&rsquos horsham from 3rd to 14th april.the specially designed easter recycling facility allows customers to recycle the elements of easter egg packaging &ndash including plastic, card and paper.the scheme makes it even easier to recycle the packaging from eggs, taking in materials like rigid plastic which not all local kerbside collections accept. the recycling facilities will be available at 400 stores across supermarkets in the ukthe christmas card recycling scheme collected 88 tonnes of cards which amounted to a donation of £12,276 to the forest stewardship council, helping to protect the world&rsquos forests.sainsbury&rsquos head of sustainability, engineering, energy & environment paul crewe said &ldquowe&rsquore proud to offer the recycling facility to our customers and colleagues. recycling is an important part of sainsbury&rsquos environmental commitment and the christmas card and easter egg recycling schemes have been really popular in the past, it&rsquos a great way of reminding people to recycle.&rdquo
