tcpl packaging, one of the biggest packaging printers in india, has ordered another highend kba rapida 106 in medium format for its sheetfed offset operations in silvassa.tcpl packaging was founded in 1990 by the kanoria family and today it is one of india&rsquos largest manufacturers of folding cartons with six production sites. every plant is iso 9001 and 22000 accredited, and follows strict standards set for vendors of food packaging. plants in silvassa and haridwar are also fsc certified.the company prints and finishes 3,600 tonnes of carton every month or 43,360 tonnes per year. its sales have risen from 1.31 million usd at the start of the 1990s to 69 million usd today.the new 8color kba rapida 106 press with coater ordered by tcpl packaging is equipped for printing board and film. it will be setup for uv mixed operation allowing the firm to offer maximum flexibility in terms of inline finishing. the press which will be raised by 450mm 17.7in is equipped with features typical for packaging printing, such as nonstop automatic facilities at the feeder and delivery, a coating supply and cleaning system, irtauv drying systems in the delivery extension, as well as four varidry uv interdeck dryers.automatic plate changers, impression cylinder, blanket and roller washing units for conventional and uv printing and ees exhaustair cleaning system round off the press&rsquo kit, which kba said boosts productivity.it is the third kba rapida 106 press installed by tcpl packaging in silvassa, where it operates three plants, and follows a 6color model with coater installed in 2013 and a 7color and coater version in 2014. the new kba rapida 106 will go live in 2015.in addition, a kba rapida 106 with six printing units, coater and delivery extension mainly for handling plastic film has been in operation at the company&rsquos plant in haridwar for three years. products combining the sheetfed offset and sheetfed gravure printing processes are also produced there.pictured from left kba sales engineer bhupinder sethi kba sales director dietmar heyduck and saket kanoria, tcpl packaging chief executive officer
